Sun Aware

As we embark on sunnier days and hotter weather, one must not forget that with fun in the sun comes responsibility. Aside from cancer risks associated with over-exposure to the sun, extreme exposure to the sun can cause a lot of damage to your skin like premature aging and pigmentation, so tan sensibly and use products that help protect.

Know your facts:

SPF is an abbreviation for sun protection factor and denotes the amount of time your skin will be protected from the sun for.

In general SPF 50 will deliver 98 per cent protection from rays, while SPF 30 offers 95 percent. Best recommendation from industry experts, stick to SPF 30 an re-apply frequently. Those numbers do not indicated more blockage, but rather how long your skin is protected from the sun.

The sun is at its hottest between 11am and 3pm. Be sure to avoid being in the sun during this window.

I have also included After Sun favorite products as they are equally important in sun care. I store my after sun products in the fridge to give me the added cooling effect.
